Brock LaingCorporate Director of TechnologyBrock’s role is to support the IT and Audiovisual infrastructure for Columbia’s employees and all of its properties. Brock partners with the property leaders for support and recommendations on technology related projects and issues. He provides leadership and oversees all of the Technology Managers and staff throughout the organization. Brock brings over ten years of experience in audio/video systems and information technology to Columbia. Brock joined Columbia in 2004 as the Technology Manager for Washington Mutual Leadership Center at Cedarbrook. He then went on to open three properties, where he followed the projects through the design stage to build-out. Brock was promoted to Corporate Technology Director in 2006. Prior to joining Columbia, Brock was the New Media Engineer with Loudeye in Seattle, supporting the sales team with technical information and inquiries and acted as technological liaison for the producers on onsite events. He was responsible for maintaining all audio/video systems and streaming media encoders. Before that, Brock was a broadcast engineer with Activate where he oversaw the build-out of the largest streaming media facility on the west coast. Brock holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management in Technology from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. |
