EXECUTIVE TEAM

Andrew Olsen

Vice President

A well-known and respected leader in the hospitality industry, Andrew Olsen brings with him over 30 years of experience to Columbia Hospitality. Andy co-founded Seattle-based The Chambers Group, Inc. in 1990, and under his guidance as Managing Director, the company has provided a broad spectrum of management and development services for 50 to 400-room lodging properties west of the Mississippi, including independent market analysis, development services, expert testimony, operational analysis, third-party operational management and asset management for hospitality-related projects.

Discovering an opportunity to align with a group of industry peers and longtime friends which could provide the structure and infrastructure The Chambers Group needed, the company was acquired as a division of Columbia Hospitality in March 2011. Andy continues to oversee the portfolio of properties currently under The Chambers Group, while leading the combined consulting efforts of the two companies under Columbia Hospitality.

Andy has served as Director of Management Advisory Services at Laventhol & Horwath for the Pacific Northwest region. Early in his career, he held management positions with national hotel companies including Westin Hotels & Resorts, and Hilton Hotels Corporation.

He is a current member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, has been an adjunct faculty member at the Washington State University School of Hotel Business Management and serves on the Advisory Board for Washington State University’s hospitality program. He is also the incoming Chair of the Washington Lodging Association. Andy received his B.S. degree from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
