Friday Harbor House is proud to be located in Friday Harbor, ranked as a top destination and “well preserved community on San Juan, ideal for outdoor adventures”. The list of a "Dozen Distinctive Destinations" has been issued annually since 2000 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
San Juan Islands Rank Highest Ever in Travel + Leisure's 2007 World's Best Awards
Travel + Leisure's 12th annual survey of readers' favorites ranked the San Juan Islands #4 on its list of Top 5 Islands in the Continental U.S. and Canada. This is the highest ranking to be achieved by the San Juan Islands in this annual awards program, with less than a five percentage point spread between the first and the fourth ranked destinations. Vancouver Island and the San Juan Islands of Washington State are the first and second ranked positions for the West Coast.
