Kelley Barrett, PhD, SPHR

Director of Leadership Development

 

A senior professional in Human Resources with over fifteen years of experience in training and organizational leadership development, Kelley Barrett was brought on board the Columbia Hospitality team in 2009.

Kelley’s goals are to lead the development and delivery of Columbia’s Management Development programs, drive succession planning and work in tandem with individual managers to achieve their leadership goals.

Before joining Columbia, Kelley managed strategic solutions in human resources for Southern California Edison and has designed, developed and facilitated training programs with companies such as Air Liquide America, Administaff and Banfield, The Pet Hospitals. This includes expertise in employee recruitment, retention, workforce and succession planning, diversity training, performance management and teambuilding.

She is involved with the American Society for Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management and is an active supporter and volunteer for the Greater Washington Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Kelley has her PhD and Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University, Indiana and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle.
