Doris Christenson is a highly respected financial professional with more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 14 with Columbia Hospitality. As vice president of accounting, she oversees operational accounting as well as payroll processing for all managed properties. Doris guides a team of accounting team members at Columbia Hospitality's Seattle Support Center.
Doris' hospitality career began at the Olympic Hotel in Seattle when it flew the Four Seasons flag. Initially joining the hotel as a housekeeper, she held positions in a variety of departments including reservations, front desk, sales, executive administration and finally in accounting as assistant controller.
Doris joined Columbia Hospitality as Assistant Controller for Bell Harbor International Conference Center where she spent five years. Her talents then relocated her to Salish Lodge & Spa as the Controller. Since that time, Doris continued her financial management of the organization at the Seattle Support Center, including being promoted to senior director of finance for Columbia's conference centers, golf properties and distinctive venues.
A Sumner, Washington native, Doris received her Bachelor's degree in Finance from Central Washington University. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family and enjoys traveling, reading and dancing.
